The stunning pencil drawing shows Lehmann on international duty, with the Swiss star sporting a training bib. Every minute detail has been captured in the piece, with it difficult to tell whether the image has been drawn or captured on film.

Lehmann has been left suitably impressed after becoming aware of the etching, with the Villans forward loving the fact that her likeness has been put down on paper. She has posted on Instagram after sharing an image of the artwork in question: “The best thank you so much.”

Sam Joesbury is responsible for the Lehmann sketch and has posted on his own Instagram account: “My latest A3 pencil drawing and probably the most time consuming graphite drawing I’ve ever done!@alishalehmann7had to be drawn perfect from the hair to the holes on the training bib! It’s definitely one of my best drawings and I’m thrilled with the outcome!”

Joesbury has previously produced a piece for Lehmann’s boyfriend Douglas Luiz, presenting him with said drawing – which features him in a Brazil jersey – after an Aston Villa game. He was also invited onto the pitch at Villa Park to gift a picture to Diego Carlos.
