Portuguese international Felix swapped Atletico Madrid for Barcelona this season, with the 24-year-old scoring 10 goals and bagging six assists along the way. And now, new boss Hansi Flick reportedly wants to bring him back to the Blaugrana for 2024-25 – here's why.

Spanish publication states if Xavi had stayed in charge at Barcelona, Felix would not have been prioritised by the La Liga team. However, his successor Flick sees the attacking midfielder as a difference maker, has world class qualities, and the German believes he can get the best out of him. If they do sign him, however, it appears it may be on another loan – due to Barca's financial issues – or for a fee where they commit as little money as possible.
WHAT JOAO FELIX HAS SAID
In October, Felix said about his future: "As you can see, I'm happy where I am, I feel good, confident and I feel like I'm going through a good moment. The most difficult thing is to maintain a good level, something that I have not achieved for some time in recent seasons. But I work every day and I always try to improve to correct those less positive aspects of myself. And yes, I am happy and going through a good time."
He added in December: "I'm very happy here. I hope Barca makes an effort to sign me this summer."
