The Red Dragons ran riot as they thrashed Morecambe 6-0 in a League Two encounter on Saturday courtesy of a hat-trick from their star forward Paul Mullin. The other goalscorers were Jacob Mendy and James Jones while Joel Senior broke the deadlock with an own goal.
Out of all the six goals, the one that stood out was Mendy's 35th-minute strike. The Gambian international received a pass from Andy Cannon on the right flank, cut into the penalty box and tore through the Morecambe defence, before finding the back of the net with a thunderous shot.

The 26-year-old recently made his debut for Gambia in their World Cup qualifying game against Ivory Coast which they lost 2-0. After an impressive outing for the Welsh club in the National League last season, he earned his first national team call-up in the summer but had to wait until November to finally represent his country.

With the emphatic win on Saturday, the Red Dragons have now moved up to the second position in the league with 36 points from 19 matches. They will next face Harrogate Town in League Two on Tuesday.
