As reported by The Sun, David De Gea is on the verge of signing a new mega Manchester United contract.
The paper reckon his deal could be worth as much as £350,000-a-week, making him the second highest paid player in the club’s history behind new signing Alexis Sanchez.
De Gea is one of, if not the best, goalkeepers in the world and tying him down to a new deal would be seen as a major bit of business and a signal that Jose Mourinho has the full belief of the Man United dressing room that they are heading in the right direction.
Fans couldn’t be happier with the reports, recognising that De Gea has bailed his side out of more sticky situations than any player at the club over the last seven years.
Can the club now ensure the new contract is confirmed before the end of the season?
