Leeds United aren’t the most popular team in the country.
Indeed, the Whites have been hated by many for decades, spanning all the way back to the ‘Dirty Leeds’ era under Don Revie.
Go to any football ground in the country and you’re likely to hear something about Marcelo Bielsa’s side. The Mirror stated back in 2015 that no fewer than 41 teams sing about Leeds.
However, the Yorkshire club haven’t helped themselves this time.

The club put out a rather sarcastic tweet after Reading failed to sell out their away allocation for Saturday’s game at Elland Road.
The problem is that Leeds have made out as though Reading’s support is lacklustre when the fact of the matter is that the Yorkshire club are a huge part of the problem.
The Whites have routinely charged £39 for a ticket for an away fan to come to Elland Road, and many supporters throughout the Championship believe that is simply too much.
Others were fuming that Leeds had the cheek to charge that sort of money in the Championship.
To be fair, £39 a ticket may be acceptable if you’re getting to see some of the country’s top players ply their trade, but nobody wants to pay that amount to watch Championship football.
Many fans commented that United simply aren’t big enough to charge such amounts.
Others took particular issue with the wording of the tweet.
Leeds stated that Reading are ‘the latest club’ to not sell out their away allocation as if it was something to be proud of, but the fact of the matter is that their extortionate prices are putting people off.
In other news, Marcelo Bielsa looks to have been right about one Leeds loanee.
