Italian publication Calciomercato claims Toronto have been happy with the 30-year-old's recent performances, after scoring twice and bagging three assists in his last four matches. Now, the former Juventus winger looks set for a new deal, with his current terms expiring in 2026.

Bernardeschi has had a mixed spell at Toronto since swapping Juventus for the MLS side in 2022. The ex-Italian international scored eight goals in 14 games in his first season but just five in 33 appearances in 2023. After a slow start to this campaign, the former Fiorentina man may be rewarded with a new contract off the back of his strong form.
