The former Brazil international was sentenced in February to four-and-a-half years behind bars for allegedly raping a woman at a Catalan nightclub in December 2022. Alves has agreed to a number of court-imposed conditions following his release, with the South American surrendering Brazilian and Spanish passports. He must return to court on a weekly basis, as stated in the terms of his provisional release.
DID YOU KNOW?
The 40-year-old is said to have already taken in one lavish party, to celebrate his father’s birthday, and has now seemingly linked back up with his partner. Sanz had demanded a divorce following Alves’ arrest, but that separation has been put on hold and the 31-year-old model gave evidence on behalf of her husband during his trial.
WHAT SANZ SAID
Sanz has now posted an image on social media that hints at a reconciliation, with Alves’ hand visible alongside what appears to be matching “1+1=1” tattoos. Sanz has also said in an Instagram story: “May this month be good, may you be stronger than you have been until today. May you feel totally grateful because, despite everything, you are here. May it be a month to give and receive love, a month to feel at peace and happy for everything you have fought for and how much you are yet to achieve. May April be a positive month for everyone.”
