Ramsey receives interest from multiple clubsNewcastle already made an approachBayern and Spurs also show interestGetty ImagesWHAT HAPPENED?
As per David Ornstein of the Atheltic, the 22-year-old, who has become a major part of Unai Emery's plans at Aston Villa, is attracting a lot of attention from other clubs who would, in theory, be able to offer him better financials than the Villains. The reported interest comes majorly from three clubs: Bayern Munich, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United.
As per the report, Eddie Howe's side has already made an approach for the midfielder but they will need to make an immediate sale if they want to sign Ramsey due to their issues with the Premier League's Profitability and Sustainability rules.

Despite the rumours, the Newcastle boss had a very up-front answer when asked about the reported interest in Ramsey [via Sky Sports]: "That's incorrect."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
The interest shown by Bayern and Spurs hasn't yet materialised into an approach but they remain keen on the situation as The Athletic reports that Villa may have to make significant sales before June if they want to stay compliant with the same Profitability and Sustainability rules that haunt Everton and Nottingham Forest. However, they have also suggested that a potential deal can only be struck if the offer is above £50 million ($63.5m) as the club values Ramsey highly.

The Athletic conclude by pointing out that, should Aston Villa decide against selling their star, they have further avenues for raising capital to ensure compliance with profit and sustainability regulations. Selling Jhon Duran, who is linked to Chelsea, might be one method to do this. The 20-year-old is reportedly admired by Mauricio Pochettino's team, and they have talked about a potential purchase of Duran.
