Tottenham Hotspur are now monitoring a “superb” Premier League midfielder who could cost around £34m if his club choose to cash in this summer, according to a report.
Spurs set to pursue midfielder this summer
With doubt lingering over Yves Bissouma’s future, Tottenham may need to bring in fresh options in central midfield this summer, and there have been suggestions they could use the funds raised from the sale of 28-year-old to pursue Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton.
Wharton has proven himself in the Premier League with Palace, earning himself a call-up to the England Euro 2024 squad, but it seems like it could be difficult to compete for the Englishman if Spurs do not have European football on offer next season.
As such, Ange Postecoglou’s side are also looking at some more left-field options, with Inter Miami’s Benjamin Cremaschi now also of interest, and there are indications the American could be a success in north London, as Lionel Messi is believed to be a fan.

Postecoglou also wants to convince Lille’s Angel Gomes to move to Tottenham, amid interest from West Ham United, but he is not the only English midfielder in the frame, as Postecoglou now has his sights on a new target.
According to a report from The Boy Hotspur, Tottenham are now monitoring Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Jack Hinshelwood for a potential summer transfer swoop.
Hinshelwood’s injury issues have deterred clubs from making moves in the past, but he appears to have put his problems behind him, having looked solid since his return, and Spurs are now in the picture for his signature.
The 19-year-old is valued at €40m (£34m) by the Seagulls, making him a relatively affordable option for the Lilywhites, should they decide to formalise their interest in the summer.
"Superb" Hinshelwood now a key player for Brighton
The teenager’s campaign has been badly affected by injuries, but he has remained a regular starter for Brighton whenever fit, making 17 appearances in the Premier League, during which time he’s managed to chip in with two goals.
Although often utilised as a defender, the Englishman has a keen eye for goal, scoring in his side’s 4-2 victory against Tottenham last season, and he retains a 100% win record in matches against Postecoglou’s side.
Sky Sports pundit Steve Sidwell was full of praise for the Brighton youth product last season, describing him as “superb”, while also claiming he is better-suited to playing further forward in midfield, rather than at full-back.
Hinshelwood is certainly showing promising signs, having already established himself as an important player for a quality Premier League side, and his versatility could make him a solid option for Spurs, given that they have lacked depth in several areas this season.
