Brys was appointed as the new head coach of the Indomitable Lions in April in a decision that took the the Cameroonian Football Federation by surprise. A statement on social media read: "The Cameroonian Football Federation learned, at the same time as all Cameroonians, of the appointment to positions of responsibility within the national senior men's football selection."
The 61-year-old Belgian was then invited to a 'working session' by Eto'o, where the confrontation took place, and seems to show the ill-feeling currently felt in the Cameroon camp.
This is the latest controversy involving Eto'o. The former striker has also been accused of allegedly making threats and match-fixing in a file sent to FIFA's Ethics Committee.
